A Bit Overdue...

Hi everyone!

Just a quick post to share a I made some time back...I started it for a challenge, then it evolved into something I submitted for a magazine and then well, here it is!

My youngest loves to push strollers and carts. She has pretty much never been a pram/stroller baby once she got walking. This is one of our favorite ways to go for a stroll.

For the background I randomly applied gesso with brush and punchinella then stamped and painted with watercolors.

I rarely ever "tie" ribbon or string around my photos but I always appreciate the look so I used my baker's twine to tie this up.

Someday me and my sewing machine will be better friends but that time is not now :) and it certainly wasn't when I tried to stitch my vellum clouds! I think my machine was yelling at me ;) but I persevered....I doodled in my own "stitches", crumpled the vellum, and hung the loose thread...

Alright, I hope you all have a fabulous week!

Page for UmWowStudio!

Hi everyone!

Are you all enjoying the weekend! We're having some phenomenal weather here in Northern California and have got a little trip planned for wine country.

Well in case you didn't get a chance to stop by UnWowStudio on Wednesday to see my CT page, I get to share it with you all here :)

Layered Stars by UmWowStudio

Like most of you, I have thousands of digital photos stored up in a hard drive somewhere and while I have a file that I keep "must scrap" photos in, I can only put so much in there. So periodically I have a random look through other files to see what photos I might have forgotten about. This set was one of those.... oh my how my baby has grown already!!

*sigh*

Well I guess that just means I need to take more photos! So the cycle continues...

The stars were great to work with. I painted over most of them (no gesso) with Lumiere metallic paint, added some thicker layers of paint and poured the micro beads. The stars' trails are made with glue and more micro beading.

Lots of layers with paper from Crate Paper, washi and dry wall tape...

Chipboard by UmWowStudio, Paper by CP, MME, K&Co, micro bead by AC, stamps by Market Street, Hampton Arts, Studio g, Glitz, paint by Lumiere, Zig, spray by TA, glitter by Studio g, washi by Recollections, FF, pen by Zig, glossy accents, gesso
That's all for today! Hope you all are getting amongst it, having a great weekend!

April Challenge at XOXO Scrapbooking

Hi Everyone!

I got back from a short trip late Monday and it's taking me a long moment to get back into the swing of things! I haven't posted anything here, and I need to remedy that :)

For XOXO Scrapbooking this month we're POPping it up on our pages! Whether it's colors or dimension or whatever, we're inspiring you to have a little POP on your page! Here's my DT page:

I have my little butterflies popping of the page and I did try to make this page have some pops of color! I'm also realizing that I must be going through a circle phase right now....my last page was full of them and I see that this one is too...

Good ol' toilet paper centers came in handy making some of those circles, haven't used those in ages!

I'm also super into washi tape right now, I don't think I have made a page without washi in months. It's so versatile and they just look so attractive, right?

And here's that supply pic:

Mists by Shimmerz and Tattered Angels, Distress Inks, Glitter Glue by studio G, Acrylic paint, pens by ZIG and Faber Castell, punch by Martha Stewart, washi tapes by Recollections and Freckled Fawn, wood chips by Freckled Fawn, stickers by Cloud 9, MM, stencil by Pink Paislee, and paper by We R Memory Keepers and K&Co, and Daiso

So don't forget to visit XOXO Scrapbooking for some inspiration and as always, thank you all so much for stopping by!

A Quick Post!

Hi everyone!

Just in case you didn't know....I LOVE color! When I make a page, one of the primary aspects that influences me is the color scheme and how I put those colors together. This weeks page was so fun to make because I got to push that spritz nozzle on my mists so many times :)

I made this page for 2 challenges, CSI case no. 65 and Scrapfriends sketch #12.  I felt the two challenges really melded nicely together and helped inspire me to make my page. Here is the case:

And the sketch:

Oh aren't they awesome!? Here's my page:

with some close ups:

I've got to keep this short and sweet! Sorry there will be no supply photo because I'm leaving in 2 hrs for Boston...a "big" girls trip with my eldest daughter. Everyone have a wonderful week!
